Dr. Karsten Schwarz
Dr. Karsten Schwarz is CEO of DPD Deutschland GmbH and is therefore responsible for the collection and delivery of around 1.5 million parcel shipments every day in Germany and Europe, together with a team of around 20,000 employees and partners. For the parent company Geopost, he also assumes management responsibility for the DACH country cluster. From 2022 to 2024, he was previously responsible for optimizing the supply chain at Wayfair, the world's largest US online retailer, in Europe and North America. From 2005 to 2022, he worked in various roles in parcel and contract logistics at DHL Group - most recently for 5 years as CEO DACH for the contract logistics division DHL Supply Chain. He previously headed group companies in the areas of 2-man handling, fulfillment and parcel sorting and held corporate functions related to strategy, M&A and organization. From 2000 to 2005, Karsten Schwarz was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and earned his doctorate from the University of Cologne on strategy options for European postal companies. Karsten Schwarz is married, has three children and lives in Bonn and Aschaffenburg.
