BVL Supply Chain CX is the evolution of the German logistics community's previous fixture, the International Supply Chain Conference (Deutscher Logistik-Kongress). In October 2024, it will take place as a significantly larger networking event with an expanded concept at the Estrel Congress Centre Berlin. "CX" stands for "Congress" and "eXpo" as the core components of the event.
"The decades-long success story of the Supply Chain Conference is a strong basis for the modernized "Congress" format as part of BVL Supply Chain CX," says BVL Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr.-Ing Thomas Wimmer. This means that there will be key notes and panel discussions with high-caliber guests on several main stages. The topics will be explored and discussed in greater depth in workshops. Networking is focused on executives, decision-makers and top managers in the business sector. The ticket includes admission to the evening events with the presentation of the German Logistics Award and catering. As an "All Access" ticket, the Congress ticket also entitles the holder to visit the "eXpo" area, where partners and brands present themselves. The Expo will also be organized as a special format for the first time and is additionally aimed at middle management and young professionals. In addition to over 120 exhibitor areas of different sizes, the "LogTech Stage", among others, will also offer high-quality content. All participants meet up on Thursday evening at the big CX party in the Expo area. The target group has also been expanded in terms of content: In addition to people and companies from the "narrower" logistics community, the CX is aimed at everyone who contributes to functioning supply chains, particularly those from IT, HR, finance or insurance. As the organizer of the event, BVL expects a total of up to 5,000 participants.
Preparations for the content of BVL Supply Chain CX have already begun. The project team has identified seven key topics, each of which will be represented by several formats such as keynote speeches, specialist sequences and also on the Expo stages and by the exhibitors. These include the digitalization of supply chains, artificial intelligence and machine learning, sustainability (e.g. circular economy and decarbonization), resilience and agility, the future organization of companies and the people involved, as well as markets, trends and strategies for logistics service providers and logistics technology providers.
Project Manager and BVL Managing Director Christoph Meyer explains the special nature of the new format: "The Supply Chain Conference has been the meeting place for the supply chain community for almost 40 years. As BVL, we know the supply chains like nobody else. We network, drive forward topics and projects, provide an overview and orientation. Just as supply chains change every day, we also move with the times. That is why we have created a new format: The BVL Supply Chain CX. Here we offer a unique combination of content and lead generation. We are still the only event that covers the entire logistics sector, including industry and trade. We are also focusing more on logistics service providers and technology providers. The combination of high altitude - with topics such as geopolitics, energy transition or economic development - and concrete, benefit-oriented input via masterclasses and best-practice presentations is also an absolute USP. In short, we are the 'one-stop shop' for all experts and managers in logistics and supply chain management and all related areas. We attach particular importance to opening up the network and content to logistics enthusiasts and professionals who are not yet at C-level."
There will also be improved digital networking opportunities in both the Congress and the eXpo area. The aim is to attract a higher proportion of international guests, both in terms of speakers and participants. In addition to high-quality content and an attractive exhibition, the main aim is to create a positive atmosphere - fun and emotions should not be neglected. Interest in the more spacious exhibition areas at the Estrel is already high more than ten months before the event: around 70 of the more than 120 available areas are currently booked or reserved. These are still available at "Early Bird" conditions until the end of February 2024.
There will be a variety of ticket options for participants of BVL Supply Chain CX, such as day tickets or cheaper Expo tickets. The "All Access" tickets for the entire event are now available at an early-bird price at www.bvl.de/cx/tickets
The BVL Supply Chain CX will take place from 23 to 25 October 2024 at the Estrel Berlin.
