About Klaus Spicher
Klaus Spicher studied mathematics and received his doctor’s degree in statistics at the RWTH Aachen. For 10 years he enjoyed international managerial experience in blue chip companies followed by 7 years entrepreneurial experience as owner and CEO of a SME (ecological construction). In 1978 he co-founded BVL. After a (still lasting on) period of self-employment as consultant in logistics and business strategy he was appointed Professor for Logistics. For 10 years he was Advisory Board Member of a public eCommerce company. – His Research topics can be summarized under Packaging/AutoID, SC-Fitness <SME’s>, and Business Forecasting.
For supporting the development of logistic in China, in 2002 he was sent by the EU to China for coaching the first generation of Chinese logistic teachers, followed by Guest-professorships (Wuhan, Shanghai) and SCM consultancy work for China Tobacco, Huawei, Haier, and Avics – highlighted by the “Operational Excellence Award” after 6 years logistics service granted by Huawei and the appointment as DeTao-Master. After 12 years China experience he returned to Germany in 2015, still ready to share his experience.
