About Lars Stemmler

Dr. Lars Stemmler is founder of longdistance-cargocycling.org, an initiative for regional transport of organic food by cargocycle. He holds a M.Sc. in logistics from Cranfield University and has over 25 years of professional experience in ports and shipping. Lars is a sought-after visiting lecturer at several universities, including the World Maritime University. An early career in Scouting and a multitude of projects in consultancy and finance shaped his conviction that real sustainability can only be achieved by stringently accounting for all external effects of our consumptive behaviour.
